Corona virus is a new virus that has been found to cause diseases such as pneumonia in humans, COVID-19 attacks all age groups
through droplets that are transmitted by sufferers to others. This study aims to determine the relationship between PSP families
who have the elderly in an effort to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 on the elderly in Banten Province in 2020. The design
of this study was cross sectional. Sampling using the snowball sampling method with a sample of 276 respondents. The results of
the analysis show that 55.4% have good behavior in preventing the transmission of COVID-19, 57.6% of respondents have jobs,
89.5% of respondents have low levels of education, 52.2% of respondents have high knowledge, and 55. .4% of respondents who
have a good attitude in preventing the transmission of COVID-19 in the elderly. The results showed that education (P-value =
0.003), knowledge (P-value = 0.003), and attitudes (P-value = 0.000) had a significant relationship with the behavior of efforts to
prevent COVID-19 transmission in the elderly and which did not have a significant relationship with the behavior of prevention
efforts against COVID-19 transmission in the elderly is occupation (Pvalue = 0.165). The suggestion from this research is that it is
necessary to further increase health education about PHBS not only during the COVID-19 pandemic but during normal conditions
(not during the COVID-19 pandemic).
